Sportarabia has been working closely with schools and clubs in Dubai and the UAE for over five years now, and its first school rugby tour went over in the autumn of 2008.
Since then we have built close links with schools and clubs in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, in particular Dubai College, Dubai Exiles RFC and Abu Dhabi Harlequins RFC, and tours can be organised around individual XV a side fixtures or around several competitive tournaments. All three have excellent facilities for training and matches, and the Exiles play their matches at the home of the RWC Dubai Sevens.
Dubai College runs a Tens Tournament around the time of the February half term, which attracts teams from throughout the UAE and from further afield, and Abu Dhabi Harlequins hold a sevens tournament in the October half term.
Tours will be tailor made to your specific requirements, in terms of training, matches and opposition strength, and are best run during the northern hemisphere winter, with the October and February half terms and Xmas holidays, being the ideal times.
The standard rugby tour is a 7 day and 7 night itinerary featuring two XV a side fixtures and involvement in one of the above tournaments. Normally the tour would be hosted for two of the nights but this cannot always be guaranteed. But if you are looking for a longer, ten day, tour, or for a stop over visit, en route to (or better, on the way back from), one of the Tri Nations, then we will work to your requirements.
You may wish to play other sports whilst in the UAE, and we will be happy to combine sports, such as tennis and basketball, with your rugby tour.
