“Today's priorities when taking a school sports tour anywhere in the world these days is simply about safety and reliability. A recent U15 Whitgift School Cricket Tour to Dubai organised by Sport Arabia went extremely well without any problems whatsoever. Staff and boys felt completely safe at all times in or around Dubai's cosmopolitan environment.
The accommodation was of high quality with excellent facilities and friendly staff. Transportation always punctual and clean with tour operator representative travelling on board. Cricket facilities were of the highest standard enabling the boys to play in stadiums of international recognition recently graced by today's world class cricketers, the highlight being a day-night match played at the impressive Sheik Zayed Stadium, under fantastic lights.
It was important for us to ensure that the tourists immersed themselves in the local ways and cultures with a visit to one of the worlds largest mosques and a couple of visits to experience the hustle and bustle of downtown Dubai. Downtime came in the way of an afternoon at the crazy Wild Wadi Water Park, a few hours spent on the beach and an evening of dune bashing in 4x4's ending with a Bedouin dinner with belly dancing in true Arabic style.
In summary....the whole package was a great experience for all that embarked on this fascinating tour. Everyone benefiting hugely from a cricketing and cultural perspective..... with added sun and fun.
To coin a phrase.....'It simply did what it said on the tin.....and more......Safely!' I highly recommend not just Sport Arabia but also the culture, climate and all of the facilities that Dubai and the UAE has to offer.”
